Manage tax return deliveries (Beta)

The functionality is being developed and is currently partially available for Beta users. Documentation for this feature is currently in progress.

After creating tax return delivery, you may need to track its status, remind client to review it, or make updates. You can view all tax return deliveries in one place, check whether clients have viewed or signed them, resend reminders, edit delivery details, or delete deliveries when needed.

View all tax return deliveries

To check all of your tax return documents with summaries, navigate to Clients > Accounts > Documents > Tax Return Delivery. The table shows:

  • Document name.
  • Estado:
    • Preparing for delivery: tax return delivery has been created but not yet sent.
    • Delivered: tax return delivery has been sent, but the client has not yet reviewed it.
    • Viewed by client: tax return delivery has been sent, and reviewed by client.
    • Pending signature: tax return is awaiting e-signature, the counter shows how many signatures are missing.
    • Partially signed: some signatures have been received, but not all required signatures are complete.
    • Signed: all signatures were received.
    • Unpaid: tax return delivery has been sent with an attached invoice, but the client has not yet completed the payment.
    • Paid: the client has completed the payment for the attached invoice.
  • Date delivery: when the document was prepared.
  • Date uploaded: when the document was uploaded.

Remind clients about pending tax return

You сan resend the tax return to the client, so they receive it once again in their To-do list. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Clients > Accounts > Documents > Tax Return Delivery.

  2. Click the three dots next to the document and choose Resend to client.

If the button is unavailable, the document is placed in a folder with a wrong permission level . It should be Client can view.

Edit a tax return delivery

You can edit the Classification , Intro , Filing instructions , and Invoice sections at any time—even after you have already sent the tax return.

How to edit the tax return delivery:

  1. Go to Clients > Accounts > Documents > Tax Return Delivery.

  2. Open the document you want to edit:

  • To edit Classification and Intro, just make the changes, they will be saved automatically.

  • To remove an invoice from the Invoice section, click the X icon near the amount.

  • To edit Filing instructions or Invoice, click the pencil icon in the top right. Then make the necessary changes and click Save.
  1. If you want your client to receive tax return delivery in To-do list, click the Resend to client button in the top right.

Delete tax return delivery

You can delete a tax return delivery without removing the document itself. To do this:

  1. Go to Clients > Accounts > Documents > Tax Return Delivery.

  2. Click the three dots next to the tax return delivery you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete and confirm the action.
