Problemas relacionados con la instalación de la aplicación TaxDome Windows
Recibo el mensaje de error "Windows Defender SmartScreen impidió el inicio de una aplicación no reconocida".
Wondering why you weren’t able to install the TaxDome Windows application and got this error message? Sometimes Windows doesn’t recognize an app, even if it’s signed by the developer. When the SmartScreen blocks an app, you can still bypass it by clicking on More info, then the Run Anyway option. If there is no Run anyway option to click, this can still be fixed.
- Go to Privacy & security > Windows Security and click on App & browser control, then select the Reputation-based protection settings option.
- Turn off toggles under Check apps and files, SmartScreen for Microsoft Edge, and Phishing protection headers.
You can also right-click on the TaxDome_Setup.exe installer file, and check the Unblock box at the bottom of the General tab, then click Apply. The protection will then be disabled, and you’ll be able to install the application.
Go to App & browser control (either from your Start menu or System settings), then under Check apps and files, select the Warn option. You will now have the Run anyway option and will be able to start the TaxDome Windows application. Plus, there is an additional way to fix this error.

TaxDome app won’t launch
If TaxDome isn’t launching on your computer, this may be caused by a corrupted or outdated app version. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Close the app completely by exiting from the system tray or using Task Manager. Alternatively, you can reboot your PC and don’t open the app yet.

Copy the following path: %LOCALAPPDATA%\TaxDome\TaxDome.exe_Url_4rmhg05znv3f5gfly3btm5a0ef1vop51\

Press the Windows key, then paste the path into the search bar.

Press Enter.

Inside this folder, locate any subfolders with version numbers (format: 3.8X.XXX) and delete them completely.

Open the TaxDome app again. It should launch correctly with a fresh setup.
TaxDome app is running slow or freezing
If the application is running slowly or freezing, corrupted cache files may be the cause. Try the following steps:

Fully close the app by right-clicking on it in the system tray and choosing Exit, or using Task Manager. Alternatively, restart your computer but don’t open the app yet.

Copy the following path: %APPDATA%\TaxDome\TaxDome Windows App

Press the Windows key and paste the path into the search bar.

Press Enter.

Delete everything inside the folder.

Start the app again, let it fully load, and check if the issue persists.
TaxDome Drive is running slow or doesn’t work
If you’re experiencing performance issues with TaxDome Drive or you’re unable to use it, this is likely because you’re using an outdated version of the TaxDome Windows app. We’ve recently updated TaxDome Drive to speed up uploading and navigating between folders (the old WebDAV version is no longer supported). The fix:
- Remove Dokan Library from your computer’s system. This ensures that the speed improvements from the latest update are applied. Open Apps (via the Start menu or System settings), select Installed apps, locate Dokan, click Uninstall in the three-dot menu, follow the instructions, and then reboot your PC.
- Update the TaxDome Windows app with the latest version. Open the TaxDome Windows app, click Yes, restart & update in the notification window to download and install. Alternatively, download the latest version from your portal.
- Remove Dokan Library from your computer’s system. This ensures that the speed improvements from the latest update are applied. Go to Add or remove programs (via the Start menu or System settings), search for Dokan, click Uninstall, follow the instructions on your screen, and then reboot your PC.
- Update the TaxDome Windows app with the latest version. Open the TaxDome Windows app, click Yes, restart & update in the notification window to download and install. Alternatively, download the latest version from your portal.

I can’t send the file to the TaxDome app via the TaxDome Printer
If you’re experiencing issues when trying to send a file to the TaxDome App using the TaxDome Printer, you’re most likely using an outdated version of the TaxDome Windows app.
- Delete TaxDome Printer from your computer system. Open Bluetooth & devices (via the Start menu or System Settings), select Printers & scanners, select TaxDome Printer, and click Remove.
- Remove Dokan Library from your computer’s system. Open Apps (via the Start menu or System settings), select Installed apps, locate Dokan, click Uninstall in the three-dot menu, follow the instructions, and then reboot your PC.
- Update the TaxDome Windows app with the latest version. Download the latest version of the TaxDome Windows app from your portal.
- Delete TaxDome Printer from your computer system. Open Printers & Scanners (via the Start menu or System Settings), click on TaxDome, and then click Remove device.
- Go to Add or remove programs (via the Start menu or System settings), search for Dokan, click Uninstall, follow the instructions on your screen, and then reboot your PC.
- Update the TaxDome Windows app with the latest version. Download the latest version of the TaxDome Windows app from your portal.

Adobe Acrobat can’t save login and password between sessions, so you’re prompted to enter your TaxDome credentials every time you open a PDF from TaxDome Drive. The simplest solution is to install another PDF reader (go to The 6 Best PDF Readers for Windows in 2019 to find out more), then make that your computer’s default PDF reader . If you’re not able to install it, you can fix the problem by leaving the Acrobat window open (you can do that by closing a separate file in a tab, not the program itself).

How do I change a default PDF reader
If you’re having issues with your current PDF reader, you can easily change it to another one.

Type pdf in the search bar.
- Click the current app name, choose a new app from the drop-down list, and click OK to set it as your default.
Now, the PDF files in your TaxDome Drive will open with the PDF reader of your choice.

Open Internet Options by typing internet in the Start menu or search bar.

Go to the Security tab, select Local intranet, then click the Sites button.
